Registration

Team Name Regulation: USTA Louisiana regulation regarding team names. Teams must adhere to the following below.  
Team Name Format: 

Captain Last Name/Age Group/Level/League/Tennis Facility(Max 4 letters)

Example: Smith/55/3.5/WD/BREC

Please note, all teams playing out of a BREC, facility will be listed as BREC, not individual BREC facility.

  • 2025 USTA Mixed League registration will be conducted online using TennisLink. For additional information on how to use TennisLink click here.

  • Each team must have a minimum of 6 players (able to combine and compete as three doubles pairs) must register in TennisLink by the end date of team registration for the team to be included in the draw.

Participation requirements at time of enrollment include:

  • Proof of membership in the USTA through end of local league season.

  • A valid NTRP rating level in TennisLink.

    • See "Self Rating" Link for information on the self-rating process.

League Format

  • Teams play 3 courts of doubles.

  • Mixed format is now a straight NTRP level league. 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0. Players may play up one level.

  • All matches are best of two tie-break sets with a match tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set.

Championships

2024 USTA Louisiana State Championships Information - “Click Here”

Information for teams advancing to state:
• Captains are required to submit a team deposit hold of $300.00 by the deadline 14 days prior to the USTA
Louisiana State Championship. Deposits will be made online via the Match Tennis Team app.
• No checks via mail will be accepted.
• The deposit will be held by the USTA Louisiana office until the conclusion of the applicable 2024 USTA
Louisiana State Championship.
• If the team successfully completes the championship (e.g., no defaults), or if a team withdraws before the
schedules are published, the deposit hold will be removed (not forfeited).
Teams can lose all or part of their deposits due to the following penalties:
• If a team withdraws after the schedule is published, the deposit and all individual player registrations will be forfeited.
• If a team does not successfully complete the USTA Louisiana State Championship, the deposit and all individual player registrations will be forfeited.
• A fee of $50 for each individual court/line default during the championship.
• NOTE: Fees collected will go to the USTA Louisiana Patrons Foundation.
Note: Team captains with deposit forfeiture and/or administrative fees for individual defaulted courts/lines may submit a
waiver to be exempted from paying fees within two (2) days of the completion of the championship. Waiver requests will
be submitted to and reviewed by the USTA Louisiana Adult League Committee and USTA Louisiana Adult League
Coordinator. Only cases of “extreme” circumstances will be accepted and/or considered.
