GBRCTA Nominations and Elections

December 1st is the deadline for nominations to serve on the GBRCTA Board of Directors. No nominations will be accepted after that date and time.

Join Us at the Annual Meeting to Vote
GBRCTA will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, December 4, at 4:00 p.m., at Bocage Racquet Club, for the purpose of electing the 2017 Board of Directors. Ballots containing the names of all nominees will be distributed to those GBRCTA members* who are present, and voting will take place in person at the meeting only. A maximum of 15 Board members will be elected, and those nominees who receive a majority of votes from those present at the meeting will be deemed elected. *If you play league tennis, you are automatically a GBRCTA member; only those members 18 years of age and older are eligible to vote.

About GBRCTA Board Service
Serving on the GBRCTA Board of Directors is an excellent way to support tennis in our community. The Board is comprised of a maximum of 15 members who serve one-year terms, beginning in January. As part of their service, GBRCTA board members are expected to attend at least eight regularly scheduled meetings throughout the year. They are also expected to contribute at least 20 service hours at GBRCTA sanctioned events, which include various adult charity tournaments, the Cajun Classic Wheelchair Tennis Tournament, tennis mixers and juniors events, such as Junior Team Tennis leagues and 10 & Under Play Days.
